NT Defence Week 2024

Following the release of the Defence Strategic Review (DSR) in 2023 and the release of the National Defence Strategy and Integrated Investment Program in 2024, the Northern Territory plays a critical role in ensuring the stability of the wider Indo-Pacific region and Australia’s national security.

Already home to a significant Australian Defence Force (ADF) and allied defence presence, the Territory’s highly capable defence industry has a proven record of building, maintaining and sustaining critical capabilities. The development of strategic infrastructure further enhances the role of the NT as a key partner in evolving geopolitical circumstances.

Now in its third year, NT Defence Week facilitates defence industry engagement through a suite of events, including the annual ADM Northern Australia Defence Summit, while providing a platform to demonstrate the Territory has the capability and capacity to deliver current and future Defence projects.

NT Defence Week provides an opportunity for engagement between local industry and visiting delegations to:

• Facilitate strategic dialogue
• Foster collaboration
• Strengthen relationships
• Showcase industry capability

This year NT Defence Week will run from 7 – 13 May with a suite of events scheduled to take place in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.
